My role was to design the back of the cards. Playing cards have a strict template which can be difficult to work with. Another role we all had was to ask questions to students who are in the same boat as us (managing money difficulties).
How well do you think you performed in the role(s)?
I think I worked pretty well in the group. Playing cards have a strict template
and usually have a generic pattern on the back.Although I appreciated everyone's"playing card" idea,I felt stuck in that strict template.I wanted to show more freedom with my designs without trying to distract attention from the idea itself. So with everyone's permission I developed my own design showing the creative impulse.
How well do you think you worked as a group?
Well,we all got on which helped a lot. We were able to bounce ideas without any arguing. We all had our own input and we appreciated each others creative individuality.
What were the positives of working in a group?
Bouncing ideas and actually working as a group. You feel like your part of something, and when given the role you receive a great responsibility.
What were the negatives of working in a group?
Not having the creative freedom your used to having when working on a solo brief. Sometimes, when ideas are not agreed on arguments can occur which may effect the quality of the work. Also, you may be put in a group with people with low attendance or with those who don't do the work.
What will you do differently next time?
Personally,I would manage my time within the group more effectively and allocate eachothers role(s) earlier.
How could you have improved your resolution?
More research and being more confident when presenting the work.Organize the presentation abit better.
There were a few technical glitches which could've been solved earlier.
What are the strengths of you presentation?
Thorough research.Deffinatly.The team work really shows through our work.We might not have been the luckiest of groups (Team-members being ill and not coming in/The presentation taking 20mins + to load up and ready to present) but we overcame it all and still made it to the final result.
